alright, just a few updates since i havent posted in forever
first off, i have started school again. I'm currently taking p.e., catholic experience, honors chemistry, honors Spanish 3, English 2, and geometry. p.e. is pretty fun, an easy way to get through the last period of the day. catholic experience is just plain fun. my teacher is more open to other ideas and it constitutes as much a history class as a religion class. plus, for some of the classes, my teacher actually lets me lecture. especially on recent topics of the mortality of Jesus and the universal symbols of history. honors chemistry is something i love. chemistry anyway, it just fascinates me. my teacher on the other hand, makes me want to never do chemistry again. he's unorganized and stupid. plus, he loses my assignments and i have my lowest grade in his class because of that. honors Spanish 3, by far my hardest class. why? because the next class up is a.p. so this class is preparing me for college level language courses essentially. my teacher, although nice, is very strict and makes me translate from English to Spanish rather than vice versa. i really like her class, but it's a helluva lot of work! English 2 is a pretty easy class. we are reading lord of the flies (awesome book!) and watching a t.v. show called "freaks and geeks" it's an old show, but an extraordinary one nonetheless. geometry is rather hard. the teacher is very smart, and very witty, and certainly more progressive in his mind. yet, he hates being argued with or even questioned. this, i have a big problem with. but at least he's light on homework. after all this, it comes down to a 3.89 GPA, which is next to an "A" average Moving on, I'm still currently spending half of my time at my mom's and half the time at my dad's. I'm okay with this arrangement even though it still sucks to have divorced parents. i know my dad doesn't post much, nor does he go to most of the events in this community so I'll just talk a little bit about him. he's doing really well. he is seeing a nice woman named Judy still. he is still working in the immigration department and his evil boss just quit. he's getting increasingly political due to the presidential campaign tension rising. that's about it for now. i said "more to come soon" this is pretty much it. so, more to come later. :D i love this. HERE'S A FEW REASONS WHY BEING GAY IS JUST WRONG AND UN-AMERICAN!
Ten Reasons Gay Marriage is Un-American AND WRONG 1. Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning. 2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal. 5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed. 6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children. 7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children. 8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America. 9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children. 10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans :D edit: i'm sorry. there has seemed to be some confusion. i am being completely sarcastic in this post. i was not being seriously that stupid. | | Friday, June 6th, 2008 | | 1:20 pm |
